"These three pieces were part of my solo show Around Here, Out There at Lilify in Monterey, California. In the series, I explore my local environment by deconstructing photographs taken on location in St. Helena, Point Reyes and Napa. Each piece was created as a single ‘suicide print,’ in which only one block is used to create all the colors in the print. It’s an incredibly complex process that requires equal parts of foresight and faith. Once the printing begins, you can’t go back.”
